This raw and untamed power is hard to handle and channeling it is not an easy task. The arcane power draws upon the five elements: Earth, Fire, Water, Air and Spirit. The sorcerers staff

The staff is the Sorcerers most precious belonging. He needs it to be able to channel the flow of elements. It works as a link between the sorcerers mind and the power, floating free around the world. With aid of the magic octiron staff the sorcerer can 'grasp' the flow of elements. This causes a strain on the mind though and the power can only be held for so long. In time you will have to 'release' the power. The sorcerer will automatically try to grasp the flow of elements when casting a spell. The staff can also be used to 'drain' the magic powers out of items. This is how the sorcerer gains strength to battle with the flow of elements. If you 'sense flows' you will see which flows that are affecting you. You can also use it to sense the flows on others with 'sense flows on ' The only obstacle to the flow of elements is metal. This cursed group of materials shield the sorcerer from the flow and he can not grasp it while in contact with them. Only pure metals, such as silver and gold, can be used by the sorcerer.

The sorcerer

Around and through all things the arcane magic flows, a source of almost unlimited powers. Sorcerers spend their life trying to master this power, and they use it for their own gain. This raw and untamed power is hard to handle and channeling it is not an easy task. The arcane power draws upon the five elements: Earth, Fire, Water, Air and Spirit. How do you cast spells?

The spell of the Sorcerer is a flow of elements. The strength of the spells depends on the casters strength in the element that the spell depends on.

You cast the spells with the syntax: cast [< target >]

If you give no target the spell will, if offensive - fire upon the one you're fighting, if defensive - fire upon you.

If you are skilled you can try to conceal your spellcasting. You toggle this on or off with the command 'conceal'. Note that if you are trying to conceal your spells it might be more difficult to cast them and therefor take longer time.

The Sorcerers skills

There are a few skills that are new to you as a sorcerer compared to those of the adventurer guild. Those are:

Concentrate: How well do you concentrate when casting your spells? If you can't concentrate enough you will fail the spell.

Channeling: This skill is available in adv. guild as well, but to a sorcerer it is far more important then usual. This skill is how well you can channel the elements.

Master_elements: This spell determines how well you handle and control the elements. Your spells will be nought without it!

Essence_eye: If you are skilled enough in essence eye you can feel the flows building and be ready for when the spell is ready to be cast.

Conceal: If you like to keep your spellcasting a secret, perhaps you should learn how to conceal it? Type 'conceal' to toggle conceal on/off.

Stunning_force: This is the skill that can make a sorcerer twice as lethal. It enables him to _sometimes_ manage to channel additional power into his spells. 100% in this skill is definitely not 100% chance of extra power.

The Flows

The sorcerer creates a flow of elements, as a kind of spell, and as long as the sorcerer is filled with the arcane powers the flow will remain. As soon as he lets go of the flow of elements, however, all of the flows will fade away. This is unless he 'ties' the flow off. This is done by listing the flows with the command 'feel' and 'tie ' If the flow is placed upon another person the other person's name will appear after the name of the flow as listed by the 'feel' command.

The elements

- Air - Water - Earth - Fire - Spirit -

Those are the five elements which all magic of the sorcerer is built upon. It is told that the legendary sorcerers of the past were able to master all of these elements, but as ages passed humans lost this ability. A modern sorcerer can only hope to become a master of one of the elements.

Your ability in these elements decides the efficiency of your flows. Type 'potential' to see your own maximum ability.

Fire: Fire is generally believed to be the most powerful element. It is mainly used to inflict damage.

Earth: Earth is not as offensive an element as Fire but close. Earth can also be used for protection.

Air: Air is the most useful element, even though it is not the most powerful. It is a part of most flows.

Water: Water is a rather weak element and is mostly used for protection and flows concerning the body.

Spirit: Spirit is a mysterious element. It can be as powerful as Fire, if used the right way.

To gain your maximum ability you have to 'choose' one element in the guild. You raise your ability on the top of the Tower.
