Bows

The bow is the hunter's trademark, and a hunter is nearby lost without his trusted bow. The same way as with arrows, there are two ways to get hold of a bow; craft one or find one.

The different types of bows you can craft are:

The bows differ from each other in aspects of how hard they are to handle and how much damage an arrow fired from them will do.

Bowfighting

With a good knowlegde of how to use his bow in combat, the hunter can become a lethal weapon. Gamewise, this doesn't only translate into the bow and marksmanship skills, but also to what techniques you use. Of course, the bow itself can be used as a simple blunt weapon, but the quiver on the back of the hunter indicates something more. The beauty of long distance combat is that you can stand and watch your prey from the other side of the room, 'nock' one of the arrows from your quiver on your bow, and take aim and 'shoot' before he notices you. Once the fight has started you can act a little bit how you want, and the switches between shooting arrows and simply hitting your foe with your bow vary amongst users. You can choose to rely more on the 'speed' of the arrows or on the accuracy of the individual shots, just as you can choose if you like a fast or meaner 'arrow'.

Arrows

To be able to shoot with his bow the hunter obviously needs arrows. Arrows can be obtained in two ways, you either craft them yourself or you find them on monsters or in shops.

The different types of arrows you can craft are:

Different types of arrows have different properties such as how much damage they do and how easy/hard they are to hit with. For example a light arrow might do less damage than a barbed one, but will be easier to hit your target with.
