=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= World =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Taxes ----- The world of Kingdoms can be a much better place if you have a lot of money, as you can buy most weapons and armour in the shops, and you can buy healing potions and food and drinks to get by better when you are out adventuring. But you can't have just how much you want though, and one player walking around with an excess will not be tolerated. Every time you log on, or approximately two minutes after you log on, the tax collector will withdraw all money exceeding 2000 times your level, which he considers to be the maximum allowed wealth of a player. That is, the total amount of what you have in the bank and what you are carrying. There are two ways of trying to prevent this, first you can raise your economics skill. Having a higher economics skill will allow you to keep more of your money, and the tax collector will raise the maximum of your allowed wealth. Another way is to try to bribe the tax collector, using the skill bribery, before he has removed your excess money. Bribing lets you keep all the money you had when you logged off, but if you fail to bribe the tax collecter he will remove all money exceeding 2000 times your level regardless of your skill in economics. So the latter way can perhaps prove to be more dangerous, but can still save you a lot more money if you succeed. SEE ALSO economics, bribery
