Appraisal

Appraisal is a way of estimating the value of an item, to get its
approximate worth in gold coins. The syntax is 'appraise <item>',
where the item can be anything you are carrying or that is in the same
room as you. The appraisal is also checked when you use the command
'value <item>' in a shop, and you will get a better picture of the
real value of the item as your appraisal skill and your intelligence
increase. Having a higher appraisal skill also lets you trade on a
more expert level, as you are able to point out certain
characteristics that make items valuable.
